Wedding Bomboniere
Wedding Bomboniere, or gift favours, are given by the host to their guests on special occasions. Each bomboniere is usually wrapped in tulle, a pretty box or organza bag, tied with matching ribbon & a personalised tag with the couple’s names & their wedding date. Bomboniere given at a Wedding will consist of five sugarcoated almonds. These represent health, wealth, happiness, fertility & long life. Your traditional Bomboniere is five white sugar almonds wrapped in white tulle, a square cut handkerchief tied with satin ribbon & a personalised tag. This piece can be found in my collection below, named Organza Handkerchief Gift Favour. The best man or woman (Koumbara or Koumbaro) purchase the Bomboniere to be gifted to the guest. At Leni Design, we source our range & ideas from Europe & local small businesses.
‘It is believed that if an unmarried Greek woman places the sugar almonds under her pillow, she will dream of her future husband.’
